Text[]

Each time I look at her, I am in awe
that she would choose to spend her life with me
when she knows all my faults, and each foul flaw;
she sees some side of me that I don't see.
I could not guess at what she thought she found
that first time that she laid her eyes on mine.
It might have been a sense that we were bound,
or matched by Fate; she might have seen some sign.
Each time she looks on me with eyes so blue,
I catch a glimpse of how I look to her;
as half of her true self that makes us two
a pair that's more than she or I once were.
And so she helps me be the man she knows
is my true self, that, when I'm with her, shows.
