Her lips: two claret guards of Beauty's Breath
that stand their ground, protecting her soft speech;
in times of highest joy or deep distress,
I kiss them twice, imparting one to each.
Her eyes: two pools of moonlight's cobalt gaze
that glitter like such starwashed melted ice;
from now until the ending of my days,
I'll see in them my image echoed twice.
Her heart: two beats that synchronize with mine
and silence every meaningless dispute;
two planets through the darkness that align
and all the words in all the worlds fall mute.
In her sweet face, the sweetest poem wrought,
defies the laws of worldly time and thought.
