I find it strange I'm called an 'atheist.'
How can I be defined by what I lack?
I'm unconvinced that any gods exist,
and so I face such ill-informed attack.
Yet no one cares about my disbelief
toward Mithras, Zeus, Osiris and Juno;
no one points out the skeptical motif
when I reject the glorious tennyo.
I don't believe in trolls or unicorns;
nor pixies, goblins, gryphons, or centaurs;
nor leprechauns, nor Nephilim with horns,
nor fauns, nor Cerberus, nor Minotaurs.
On all these counts, I hear that you agree;
you're just as much an atheist as me.
