In every love for love's own jealous cause,
the bitter sting of envy bites its tongue.
Yet so lamentable for one so young
to feel the emptiness of passion's flaws
that counter this emotion's timeless laws
of ecstasy and beauty sweetly sung.
That stunning melody I've heard among
these lines, so clearly and so soft, because
my love desires not; and yet it longs
to feel a love so strongly in return,
to harmonize these symphonies I write.
A love so strong creates eternal songs;
a love so true has nothing left to yearn;
a love that loves for love's own sweet delight.
