"Linguistic Silhouette" is a sonnet written between February 16th and February 21st of 2016 by Anthony J Fuchs.

The poem makes heavy reference to Macbeth's "tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow" soliloquy from Act V, Scene 5 of William Shakespeare's 1606 Tragedy of Macbeth, as well as referring briefly to Hamlet's "to be, or not to be soliloquy from Act 3, Scene 1 of Shakespeare's 1601 Tragedy of Hamlet.

Containing exactly 100 words, it is also an example of a drabble.

The sonnet was submitted to the Orchards Poetry Journal (along with "Breaking Point" and "Fleeting Image") in April of 2020, and accepted for publication in May. It will be included in the June 2020 edition of the Journal.
