Helen Elena Regan is the daughter of Claudia and Thomas Regan, the neice of Samantha and Deborah Kaufman and Roderigo Messina, the cousin of Juliet Messina, and the granddaughter of Katherine and George Kaufman. She is a resident of Prophecy Creek, Pennsylvania, a student at Prophecy Creek High School, and a member of the Creek Reader staff. She is named after the mythological daughter of Zeus and Nemesis.
After graduating from high school, Regan attended Gwynedd–Mercy College from 1998 to 2002, earning her teaching certificate in history. During the Summer of 2002, she married her former high school classmate and cousin-by-marriage Ben Kelerick, and is the mother of five children by him: Edmund, Orlando, Regan, Duncan and Cordelia Kelerick.
After college, Regan returned to Prophecy Creek High School to fill the vacancy left by the retirement of William Kershaw, as well as serving as the faculty advisor to the Creek Reader. In 2015, she self-published a vampire novel.
