Response to @takethedamnpictur: "This probably sounded good in your head. It's lacking any basis in reality if using as an analogy for parenting, but hey you got to brag about running"
"This comment is an excellent case of Wiio's Laws of Communication, which were articulated by Osmo Antero Wiio, who stated that 'communication usually fails, except by accident,' unless it cannot fail, in which case it still usually fails. Both of my analogies were specifically in reference to the biological processes of pregnancy and childbirth, so much so that I explicitly stated as much, in those exact words, and yet somehow, half the comments there are bickering over the financial and emotion contributions of fathers to parenting. But it doesn't actually matter that those analogies have nothing to do with parenting because, as Wiio also stated: 'If a message can be interpreted in several ways, it will be interpreted in a manner that maximizes the damage'. And nothing can be interpreted in several ways quite like an analogy."
